Our machine can do up to six colors. For more information on determining colors in your design, please visit our page that explains it all by clicking here.
Can you print over seams and off the edges of the shirt? We can print off the edges of the shirt but not over the seams unless you do all over printing.
Do you charge a set-up/screen fee?Absolutely not. There are NO hidden fees - EVER. Our prices are All-inclusive, meaning: The price you pay is what we quote you, period.
How do you determine pricing? Our pricing is based on what apparel you select, how many items you print on, how many colors of ink are used, how many locations you print meaning if you print on the front only or on the front and back or sleeve.
Can I print on a variety of items like t shirts, sweatshirts, bandanas, bags and in a variety of colors?Yes, as long as the artwork and size of the artwork is the same on all items. You can print on a variety of colors as long as the inks you select work on all colors of products you select. You may pay extra for ink changes if necessary. We do not screen print on hats.
Will you allow the same screen to be used for multiple colors? For example if I had a single color design and wanted it printed with white ink on a dark shirt, could that same screen be used for a dark print on a light shirt?Yes. If possible. Keep in mind that a design that is setup to print in black ink may not print with white ink. All depends on how the artwork is setup. You will be charged a $30.00 ink change charge per color change.
Do you offer sleeve printing?Yes we do. Sleeve printing size can be no larger than 3.5" x 14".
Do you offer Tag area printing?Yes we do. Go to our Tag printing and re-tagging page for details.
For neck tag area imprints, do you burn all the sizes on the same screen or do you need to burn multiple screens for multiple sizes? Each individual screen is inherently unique. So unfortunately, if you want a tag area imprint, you should omit the size marking in the imprint, otherwise you will need to pay setup fees for each individual size you want to have printed.
Do you print single or sample shirts? No - for screen printing - our minimum is strictly 24 (due to the amount of time it takes to set up a job). When placing an order, it's best to order a few more instead of not enough.
Do you offer a "proof" of what the item will look like printed?Yes! A digital mock up of what your item will look like will be emailed you for approval before we go to print. If Monkey in a Dryer creates the artwork for the customer, the customer will have an opportunity to proof the art prior to production. Customers should carefully review their graphics and should pay particular attention to spelling if your graphic incorporates words. If printed colors are critical to your project we recommend that customers verify the colors chosen for print against a Pantone book, proofs against a paper print or computer monitor screen for color cannot be guaranteed.
Once the customer approves the artwork, Monkey in a Dryer will not be held responsible should the order be completed and later found to have errors due to spelling or other issues when the final product's graphic matches the customer approved art.
Customers are ultimately responsible for insuring their artwork is correct prior to order production. When customers submit their own artwork for an order the artwork will be considered to have been proofed once submitted to Monkey in a Dryer. If artwork submitted is still in draft form, the customer must make Monkey in a Dryer aware that the art provided is not the final artwork for the order, and the order will go on hold until final artwork is approved.
Do you match Pantones®?Pantone® colors are an industry standard and as such we expect provided artwork to call out specific Pantone colors. When artwork calls out specific Pantones there is no charge for us to mix Pantones for your order. Customers who do not specify a specific Pantone Color are subject to our 'eye' match.
Water based Inks require more work to match colors and as such they will incur a $30.00 fee per color when a specific color is requested to be matched.
**Please note that color matching is not guaranteed to perfectly match due to a large number of variables which affect color matching. Monkey in a Dryer will make every effort to match your color as close as possible.
What type of inks do you use?Monkey in a Dryer uses only the best inks on the market today. Our ink of choice is Wilflex Epic Phthalate free inks. Meaning they are free of added plasticizers, are certified to be lead free and are compliant with the CPSIA laws. Better for the environment and better for you. We also use water-based inks from Matsui. These inks are both PVC and phthalate free inks.
When it comes to sustainable apparel, many focus on the materials used to manufacture the garment but overlook the system used to to print it. Using environmentally friendly water-based inks and phthalate-free plastisol inks, we work with our clients to use screen printing solutions that present the least environmental impact depending on their design, desired colors, fabric, garment style.
How do I place an order? All orders can be placed directly through email monkeyinadryer@mac.com or call us @ 612-810-9295 and we will be happy to take your order over the phone.
What equipment do you print with?We only use the best screen printing equipment in the business. Our press is an M&R automatic capable of printing 400+ shirts an hour, our screens are Newman Roller frames, inks are Wilflex Epic Phalate Free Ink Series.
Can you match my previous order? If you are re-ordering shirts and you need them to look exactly like your previous order - it is highly advised that you provide us with an actual shirt from that order. We don't keep files of every shirt we print and can't possibly remember how every shirt we printed may have looked. Without an example of the previous order - there is no guarantee that the new shirt will match perfectly.
How should I break down the shirt sizes of my order for an event of strangers? How do you know how many shirts of each size to order when you don't know the exact sizes of the people who will be attending your event? Well, why not use this handy-dandy calculator as a rough guide?

Whether your design is hand drawn or created on a computer, we will need to take your final artwork and separate each color in the design to output film positives. From these separate color films, we will create printing screens. The fewer colors we need to print, the less your cost will be. If possible, try to limit the colors in your design to save yourself money.
What kind of files do you accept? Here is a detailed description of what we are looking for:
Yes. There is a $50/hr. charge. You will be billed in 15 minute increments and we will let you know before hand the approximate price before we start your project. More detail can be found in our graphic design service page. If your artwork is not "camera ready" or setup for screen printing, you may be charged for any artwork cleanup @ $50/hr (billed in 15 minute increments).
Payment:Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discovery, PayPal, School or Business checks. NO personal checks.
Do you offer Net30?

Why does it take 2 weeks for Canada/International for shipping?Canada & International orders take up to 2 weeks due to overseas shipping and the time it takes to get through customs.
Why was my order charged a customs fee when it was delivered?International orders may be subject to customs duties/fees. Unfortunately this is a necessary evil of ordering from overseas. Please do not ask us to ship your package as a gift. We can't do that!

In addition, the details of your order will be completely explained to you in writing and approved by you. We will not start the manufacturing process until you are 100% satisfied with the design and details of your order.

If the custom products you receive do not meet your expectations, contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order. Please notify Monkey in a Dryer immediately regarding any shortages or misprints. If it is determined that there were errors in manufacturing or the product differs materially from what was approved, than we will replace all flawed or defective merchandise. Disclaimer:Clients are responsible for proof reading and approval of the final artwork. Monkey in a Dryer will not be responsible for typos, unmatched or mismatched colors, or over looked errors. Please be mindful that once the product is completed, no more changes can be made. Customer is fully responsible for final proof and layout approval prior to the printing process.
Monkey in a Dryer is NOT LIABLE for errors in a final product caused by any of the following reasons: misspelling, graphics, grammar, damaged fonts, punctuation, finished product size. We DO NOT make any changes on customer files without prior client consent. Artwork charges apply if artwork is not screen print ready. Any necessary needed adjustments are subject to a minimum charge of $25.00 for typesetting. Therefore, if the client approves any type of work (verbal, written, or by email) and the job has been turned in, sale is final. Returns are not valid if the client changes his or her mind, for that reason, the product must be paid in full. Credit card sales are processed at the time of sale and not after delivery.
If a dispute occurs and legal action is necessary, customer waives the right to mediation and Monkey in a Dryer shall seek resolution through the courts. All sales are final since artwork approval is necessary before a job can be scheduled for printing and each job is custom.
